Like we have the break downs of who is in what covenant/clan on the wiki, would you guys be averse to having the same sort of listing for who is what status in the influence slots?
Like the break downs for the covenant/clan status, it is presumed that you will find this out icly and not auto-know it per the list. The same would be held for the influence rankings. Is there a concern that people might use this icly without rolls?
Would you be for or against this list?
The primary goal would be to foster more rp for those that are in the influence sphere and help them get a starting point on who they may want to start rp with because they share the same influence status?
Maybe make it only up to level 3?
Thoughts?

It shouldn't be hard to find the rank 5 in each influence. Rank 4 and 3 might need an "available IC with a successful research roll" tag but 1 and 2 should be obscure and require a request and research rolls. That's my take.

Eeeeeeeh. I dunno. Sphere status is tricky, but rank 5 being visible on the wiki MIGHT be OK, with the caveat that it should be limited to circles your character runs in. No having the pious nunpire know who's the don of the local crime family, after all. Unless she's a Lance nun and she keeps a record of sinners to torment. But still, you get the idea. There should be a bit of OOC trust in this matter, that you CAN see the rank 5s, but using them if you wouldn't have reasonably heard of them is metagaming.

The information posted for characters - such as the clan and covenant status listings, and things on the character pages, have always been considered IC knowledge. This is why rumors get posted to character pages. Unless staff is going to make an exception for this particular listing, doing this would reveal whom has those positions without the investigation that was originally required to find out who held those reigns. There's benefit in anonymity of what statuses characters have and hold. People knowing this IC, since things pertaining to characters are IC, would make it far easier to learn of and attack another character's influences. Not everyone wants their influences made public.
If the exception is made the question then is, what use does this serve? If there were more mortals on the game holding positions of influence (like police and underworld types) this might make more sense in a way to try and facilitate RP but for the most part - influences on RfK aren't something people have RP'd around. They're a commodity to be offered, traded, used, and sold.

Until the system of influence is in workable order, I don't see this being beneficial. I concur with others, influence should be something learned about through IC means and rolling. I would not add a list of them. The covenant/clan status is all IC knowledge.

It's worth saying that everything on the wiki is information that someone can be presumed to know ICly with minimal inquiry.
