Objective: Reboot the game titled Requiem for Kingsmouth
Main Points:
Set up rules and expectations for Staff, set in stone. This seems to be the main pain point as to why the game closed in the first place.
Enable staff to perform their jobs, potentially split into three roles: Storyteller, Builder, Player Relations, etc. If staff are allowed players, no staff member will be allowed to service their own player at penalty of _____________.
The Head Wizard position shall be filled by me (Kougyoku). I will have no player in the game, and therefore no stake in any decision I make. This allows me to make fair and impartial judgement decisions for both rewards and punishment. The buck stops here. This type of role was sorely needed in the previous iteration of Kingsmouth. Staff rules will be enforced at this point to the letter.
Story: Instead of telling one gigantic over-arching story, break the story up into easily-digestable modules to allow for X players per Storyteller; so the individual ST can give the players the attention they need. Fold results of story modules into a persistant world. Each Storyteller would have authority over the group they run a-la old school D&D tabletop RPG style. Perhaps we can even setup a Kingsmouth calendar informing players when their formal play sessions shall be (again, like tabletop), and still allow for Roleplay and extra scenes outside of the main storyline of the module.
Staff: Current +staff will be wiped without exception. New staff will be interviewed, and upon agreeance of the Staff rules and their Role duties, be hired on as a Staffer of the MUSH.
Keep players engaged through dynamically roleplay, and allow your players to drive your plot module towards resolution; allowing for rewarding individual roleplay.
